Staff Accountant - Temp to Perm for the right candidate!

Full time hours Monday - Friday 

The Staff Accountant plays a crucial role in our financial operations. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining compliance with accounting standards, and providing valuable financial insights.

Responsibilities

• Enter client standard billings, vendor invoices, and internal costing as needed.
• Assist the A/P Coordinator with vendor statements, including researching and correcting discrepancies.
• Analyze financial statements prior to reporting to Ownership.
• Prepare and maintain accurate and timely general ledgers.
• Track and record simple and complex transactions.
• Create month-end, quarterly, and year-end closing entries.
• Conduct monthly, quarterly, and yearly account reconciliations.
• Audit files monthly to ensure all files are up-to-date.
• Review intercompany transactions.
• Support with accounting-related projects and accounting research as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of GAAP, accounting processes, and financial concepts.
• Experience with QuickBooks is a plus.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail and highly organized.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• College degree in Accounting or a related field preferred.
• Accounting experience required.
