Are you an experienced Plastic Injection Molding Machine Operator?

Shift time: Monday through Friday 6:30am-3pm

Our client in Bechtelsville is hiring an experienced Plastic Injection Molding Machine Operator!

SUMMARY

Operates plastic injection molding machines to form plastic parts to specifications by performing the following duties.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

 

  • Fills premixed plastic powder or pellets into hopper.
  • Pulls lever to close mold and inject plastic into mold to form parts.
  • Removes finished product from mold.
  • Trims excess material (flashing) from part, using knife.
  • Grinds scrap into powder for reuse.
  • Inspect products for defects and flaws such as dents, bubbles, thin areas and cracks.
  • Ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Measures work piece for conformance to specifications.
  • Notifies supervisor of discrepancies
  • Stacks molded parts in boxes for subsequent processing.
  • Practices safe work habits, maintains workplace in good order, and wears issued personal protective equipment in the workplace.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before employees of organization.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instruction furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

N/A but beneficial if able to acquire valid forklift driver’s license.
