Position: Full-Time Medical Laboratory Technician

Position Overview: We are a private, multi-specialty medical group seeking a skilled and experienced Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) with a minimum of 3 years of laboratory experience. The ideal candidate will hold both an MLT degree and ASCP certification. This individual will be responsible for overseeing laboratory operations, conducting technical lab functions, and ensuring compliance with quality control standards.

Job Responsibilities:

• Run laboratory functions, including chemistries, hematology, and immunology.
• Ensure quality control in specimen collection and perform validations for state inspections.
• Maintain and calibrate lab equipment to ensure accurate results and sterility.
• Report test results in accordance with clinic protocols and notify providers of any abnormal results.
• Manage laboratory inventory and supplies.
• Adhere to all laboratory policies and OSHA safety regulations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Calibrate, clean, and test the sterility of laboratory equipment.
• Maintain proper documentation and confidentiality of patient information.
• Demonstrate proficiency in computer usage and record-keeping.

Required Competencies:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with a customer-service mindset.
• Ability to follow lab protocols and uphold confidentiality standards.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• MLT degree and ASCP certification (required).
• Minimum of 3 years of laboratory experience.
• Phlebotomy experience (required).
• Experience in hematology/oncology (preferred).

Work Environment:

• Must be comfortable in a laboratory setting, wearing PPE, and handling bodily fluids/infectious specimens.

Schedule:

• Full-time, 8-hour day shifts, Monday to Friday.
