 Position: Packer/Warehouse Associate Salary: $16.00/hr.    7AM-4PM Monday through Friday

Status: Full-time, Non-exempt

Job Description: The Packer/Warehouse Associate is responsible for the packaging of a variety of manufactured products.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Performing production duties such as manual lifting, packaging, taping, labeling and sorting
• Moving product and inventory
• Maintaining the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and following prescribed safety regulations
• Weighing and counting items for distribution within the plant to ensure they conform to company standards
• Performing related duties as required by supervisor
• Breaking down cardboard for recycling
• Assisting shipping and receiving with unloading trucks and/or overseas containers as needed
• Sweeping, dusting and mopping, and organizing the warehouse and work area to maintain orderliness at all times
• Performing other duties as requested

Physical demands:

• Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 75 pounds; lifting may be in excess of 100 repetitions per shift
• Must be able to maintain a high level of repetition in other physical activities such as reaching, standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, kneeling and crouching

Requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Willingness to work overtime as needed
• Possess basic mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
• Effectively communicate information and respond to questions from various levels within the organization
• Time Management

Preferred Experience:

• Forklift experience
• Basic computer skills
