Our client a manufacturing company located in the Scranton Area seeks as Day Shift Maintenance Supervisor. In this Monday to Friday role, you will be responsible for the daily supervision of the maintenance technicians. The primary focus is to ensure consistent production and facility operation for the Scranton Area site. Identification, development, and implementation of a continuous improvement projects will also be a portion of this role. It is critical that the maintenance supervisor work collaboratively with Maintenance Manager and Production Manager to ensure optimal operation and enhancement of the site occurs.
Experience:
• Minimum 5+ years of experience as a maintenance technician/mechanic in a manufacturing environment
• Strong preventative maintenance development experience, based on TPM principles a plus
• Working in a fast-paced production environment
• 2 years of Supervisory experience
Skills:
• Moderate computer skills (MS outlook, excel, preventative maintenance software, work order system, etc)
• Teambuilding and conflict resolution
• Accuracy and thoroughness in performing job duties
• Project Management Skills
• Leadership, supervision, accountability, and employee development skills
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Maintain production equipment; assist in the research and troubleshooting of equipment as needed
• Provide emergency/unscheduled support of repair of production and facility assets
• Order parts (preventative & reactive) for machine and asset repairs as needed
• Responsible for 5S maintenance program
• Perform mechanical skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production related machines
• Develop maintenance procedures, training plans, and ensure execution of these training plan(s)
• Track and maintain downtime recordings, ensure continual improvement on the downtime of equipment
• Implement and sustain a preventative maintenance program
• Implement and sustain a work order tracking system
• Support the identification, research, implementation, and support of capital expenditure projects including planning mechanical resourcing or knowledge support of equipment and operations
• High collaboration with the facilities engineer, process engineer, warehouse manager, and production manager to ensure project and daily task priorities are being handled adequately
• Ensure all safety procedures and environmental requirements are followed at all times
• Must be able to multi-task and demonstrate strong organizational & prioritization skills
• Work flexible hours and shifts as required
• Maintain company expectations for Safety, Quality, Service Level, Sustainability, Integrity, and Respect in daily activities
