The main duties for the PRODUCT PACKAGING OPERATOR are as follows:

Packages finished product, packs and labels orders to send to shipping department.

Position responsibilities:

1. Operate automatic packaging machine (100-200 rpm).
2. Operate shrink wrap machine.
3. Prepare shipping boxes.
4. Respect shipping date and pack order accordingly.
5. Must reprioritize duties for any special or “rush” jobs as needed.
6. Responsible for cleaning, set up and maintenance of the line.
7. Ability to log accurate work orders including shipping labels per order.
8. Organize work and corresponding paperwork/order for the shipping department.
9. Communicate any stock needs to replenish materials at the line.
10. Interface with production regarding work completeness including shortages or unsuitable for shipping product.
11. Ability to cross train in preparing product, general warehouse duties, or anything needed during downtimes.

Good housekeeping abilities, excellent attendance and a willingness to learn multiple tasks necessary.  This position requires walking and standing for the shift plus some lifting.
