Job Description

The Children’s Advocacy Center of NEPA is seeking an Executive Director to work cooperatively with the Board of Directors to effectively lead, inspire, and grow the organization’s programs, staff, and financial resources.

This is a full time, exempt position that reports to the Board of Directors.

The Executive Director manages the Financial, Organizational Management and Performance of the organization. Work involves supervising and leading a staff of approximately 8 people while ensuring that the organization programs remain strong and vital in meeting the growing needs of the community.

Successful Candidates will possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

Leadership
• Ability to work with and communicate effectively with the various stakeholders in the criminal justice system on behalf of the organization.
• Ability to lead the organization’s team and oversee the process within Children’s Advocacy Center of NEPA.
• Develop and implement strategic plans that meet business goals and objectives created in partnership with the Board of Directors.
• Be the face of the Children’s Advocacy Center of NEPA in the community.

Personnel
• Knowledge of personnel and management principles, practices and techniques as they relate to the administration of workforce resources and planning, position management, staff development and training, policy development and administration.
• Ability to organize disparate groups of professionals into cohesive working groups.
• Ability to establish and maintain working relationships as necessitated by work assignments.

Fiscal Management
• Ability to establish and maintain standard accounting and fiscal control measures.
• Ability to research, propose and secure new funding sources, and including an understanding of the grant writing process.
• Ability to manage current grants, including preparing reports and other documentation needed for funding sources.

Qualifications:
Candidate must have 5 - 10 years of experience in demonstrating successful leadership qualities and experience in managing a non-profit organization; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities.
