We are looking for a Customer Service & Order Processing Specialist to join our team! In this role, you'll be an important connection between our customers and manufacturing team, helping ensure orders are processed accurately, efficiently, and on time.

This is more than a traditional customer service position. You'll work with standard and customized products, technical specifications, pricing, manufacturing schedules, and customer needs. If you're detail-oriented, organized, and enjoy learning technical products while providing outstanding customer service, we'd love to meet you!

What You'll Do

• Process customer orders ranging from standard stock items to highly customized products.
• Serve as a primary point of contact between customers and the manufacturing team.
• Respond to customer questions by phone, email, and in person.
• Resolve order discrepancies, product concerns, and application questions.
• Provide technical support and product guidance to customers.
• Prepare and review order documentation for accuracy.
• Read and interpret hardware templates, specifications, and technical drawings.
• Calculate pricing and lead times for standard and custom products.
• Coordinate with manufacturing to resolve production and scheduling issues.
• Manage stock-related concerns and keep customers informed of updates.
• Help ensure a smooth experience from order placement through production.
• Follow company safety policies and procedures.
• Occasional overtime may be required.

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of customer service experience, preferably in a technical or manufacturing environment.
• Experience working directly with customers and contractors.
• Experience in the hollow metal door and door hardware industry is strongly preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural plans, specifications, and hardware schedules.
• Knowledge of building codes and labeling requirements.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• AutoCAD experience preferred.
• Experience with TrackPoint, OrderPro, or similar order-processing software is a plus.
