Manufacturing Technician – Coiling Operations

Pay: Starting at $19.50 per hour (Pay commensurate with experience)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Day Shift)

OneSource Staffing is currently seeking a detail-oriented and mechanically inclined Manufacturing Technician – Coiling Operations to join a growing manufacturing team in the Telford area. This position is responsible for setting up and operating automatic spring coiling machines to produce high-quality steel springs that meet customer specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret production travelers and work instructions to determine the proper tools, dies, and equipment required for production.
• Set up, install, and align tooling, dies, and machine components.
• Thread raw materials through machines and prepare equipment for operation.
• Utilize measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, and scales to verify product specifications.
• Make mechanical and software adjustments to achieve first-piece approval.
• Submit first-piece samples and required documentation to Quality Control for approval.
• Perform and document in-process inspections according to production control plans.
• Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality standards and dimensional accuracy.
• Organize, label, and prepare finished products for downstream operations.
• Identify, segregate, and report non-conforming materials in accordance with quality procedures.
• Troubleshoot tooling, equipment, and machine issues and communicate findings to the Coiling Supervisor.
• Assist with additional production-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous manufacturing or machine setup experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of mechanical equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and work instructions.
• Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
