Our client, a manufacturing facility in the Delmont seeks an experienced CNC Mill Operator. We are looking for second and third shift that are 3 PM to 11 PM and 11 PM to 7 am Monday - Friday. This individual is primarily responsible for Advanced set-up & operation of CNC machines for maximum production output, while maintaining product quality.

Working together in teams effectively, support each other to be the best we can be and treat each other with respect and dignity. We will also consider Entry Level CNC Machine Operators right out of Technical School.

• Plans effectively for the activity and prioritizes tasks.
• Makes effective use of information to make good decisions in a timely manner.
• Communicating effectively with others to progress work, acts to preserve long-term relations.
• Understands how own activities contribute to team and wider organizational goals.

Essential Functions:
• Advanced set-up & operation of CNC machines, without assistance, per set-up sheets & work instructions.
• Verify, & edit programs, as required.
• Calculate speeds & feeds.
• Advanced understanding of tool geometry.
• Determining tooling requirements.
• Establish tool offsets using tool setter.
• Create programs using Haas VPS (Visual Programming System)
• Setup/establish work origin using WIPS (Wireless Intuitive Probing System)
• Download / upload all programs efficiently.
• Operate CNC in manual mode, as required.
• Adjust machine feeds & speeds to provide acceptable finishes & tolerances, while maximizing production output.

Principal Accountabilities / Knowledge:
• Technical School Certificate or Diploma preferred.
• 2 – 5 years CNC Operation & set-up experience in a Manufacturing Environment.
• Possess excellent Blueprint reading/interpretation skills.
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook, etc.).
• Ability to operate a Forklift & complete in-house certification.
• Knowledge of Tool Geometry.
• Set-up capabilities.
• Ability to perform program modifications.
• Program creation and editing using Haas VPS (Visual Programming System)
• AutoCAD experience.
• Able to work with minimal supervision.
