A respected small-scale manufacturer specializing in steam turbine components is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Inside Salesperson. Known for precision, innovation, and quality, we serve a variety of industrial customers with high-performance rotating equipment parts and repair services.
This is a full-time, on-site role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, team-based environment and is passionate about delivering excellent customer support and project coordination.
Position Overview:
As an Inside Salesperson, you’ll act as the central hub for customer communications, order processing, quoting, and repair project coordination. You will work cross-functionally with engineering, machining, and accounting teams to ensure seamless customer service from initial inquiry to final delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Communication: Respond to customer calls and emails in a timely, professional manner.
- RFQs & Quoting: Review technical specifications and prepare accurate quotes using JobBOSS² ERP and internal tools.
- Order Processing: Enter and manage purchase orders, coordinating entry in JobBOSS² and QuickBooks.
- Project Coordination: Track and manage customer repair jobs and part orders; serve as the communication link between customers and internal teams.
- Shipping Coordination: Generate packing slips, prepare shipments, and maintain inventory accuracy using WASP inventory management.
- Documentation & Reporting: Keep detailed records of customer interactions, quotes, and order status updates.
- Technology Tools: Use Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, and Zoom for daily operations.
- Problem-Solving: Collaborate with engineering and production to address customer concerns or job-specific challenges.
- Product Familiarity: Gain working knowledge of our turbine components and services to better assist customers.
Qualifications:
- 2–5 years of experience in inside sales, customer service, or project coordination (preferably in manufacturing or technical environments)
- Experience with JobBOSS², QuickBooks, and WASP inventory systems highly preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), Teams, and Zoom
- Photoshop experience is a plus
- Strong multitasking and organizational abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic understanding of technical drawings or specifications is a plus
- Self-motivated and team-oriented approach
